Three Steps to Financial Savviness
Being a Financial Woman is not just about your money. It’s about being smart and savvy with your money so that you live a rich life. This is true whether it relates to earning, growing or giving when it comes to your finances. Let’s look at each of these steps.
- First, maximize your earnings by using and sharing your best talents and skills. This may take the form of a corporate career, raising healthy children, or having your own company. Or, it may some combination of the three. Are you feeling like you are really using your best gifts in what you are doing each day?
- Second, pay attention to your money. Just as you would never have a baby and then neglect it, you would never go to all the trouble to earn money and then neglect it. You would make sure it was receiving the best care so that it would grow and be healthy. You would also learn what you needed to learn to make sure that is happening.
- Third, give your time, talents and financial resources to the world. Earning money and then managing it well are only the first two parts of the rich life equation. Giving is a timeless principle that helps the giver as much as the receiver.
Look at each of these three principles. Where are you feeling success? Where are you not? Grab a pen right now and write three steps to take
to make you feel success in any of these three areas where you may not feel success now. Maybe right now you know you need to focus on earning more; if that’s the case, then what’s the next step? Do you want to give more but just don’t have the money right now? Then sign up for a volunteer position and give your time. Have you been neglecting your money’s growth? Your next step is to read a book or take a course on managing it better. Only you know what you are being called to do in order to live a life that is congruent and rich. You have a few months left to make a difference this year. August is the perfect time to get started creating that rich life while you are escaping the summer heat!
