Longer lashes!
Several years ago I was visiting with a woman with whom I’d just met and I noticed that she had the longest eyelashes I’d ever seen. She was in her mid sixties and her natural lashes curled up to the sky. When I complimented her she responded that I, too, could have long beautiful lashes. She had just the product for me, in fact she was a distributor of Jan Marini’s Eyelash Conditioner and could get me some of the wonder product which, she claimed, can only be purchased personally from a Jan Marini dealer. I was intrigued, but turned down her offer, as I didn’t really have the time to discuss my eyelashes right then.
When I got home, I Googled Jan Marini’s Eyelash Conditioner and found various sources online. It was pretty pricey (over $100!) and way more that I was willing to pay to lengthen my eyelashes. But I just pondered those long black eyelashes and soon, I could no longer fight my desire. I HAD to have longer lashes!
I found a discounted price for Jan Marini’s on EBay, and ordered a tube. The instructions said to paint it on my eyelids like eyeliner every night and within 8-10 weeks, I’d have impressive growth to my lashes.
After only one month, I noticed significant growth to my lashes. The stuff really worked! I continued to use it with great results. My husband noticed. My daughters noticed. My mother noticed! I felt glamourous!
And then I saw it. The Wall Street Journal ran an article on Jan Marini’s Eyelash Conditioner, stating that it contained ingredients that had not been approved for over-the-counter sales. Jan Marini’s Eyelash Conditioner could no longer be legally sold! In a panic, I went online to see if I could still get a tube somehow, but, alas, I could not. Now, my eyelashes will have to go back to unimpressive status, I worried.
