Fabulous Tweets!

Okay, this over-50 gal is getting smarter by the day. I’ve been trying to learn all about Twitter, and I’ve found that it can be an incredible way to connect–or an incredible drain on time. There are literally thousands of people out there to follow. Just think, I can connect with my favorite Food Network chefs, musicians, authors, organizers, fitness experts and social media gurus. I can get tips on hot bargains, travel, good & bad restaurants, and deals from Central Market. There’s a whole new world out there just waiting for me to discover it.

Susan, after we had the “Social Media lunch” with the Anam Cara Foundation folk, i emailed Cannoli Joe’s thanking them for the great vegetable selection, plus the terrific servce we had that day.

I got a gracious and immediate note back from (i believe BOTH the mgr AND the chef) who told me a lot more about why they select the veggies they do, and a lot more impressive stuff about philosophy around the food and presentation of it they provide.

Now they’re following ME on Twitter – and I’m keeping up with them, likewise.

There’s a lot to this Social emphasis in Media that’s really fun. I’ve eaten out all my life and i believe this is the first time I’ve actually a RELATIONSHIP now with a restaurant all around a single experience I happened to followup on immediately after.
